A guess, a wish, a gift — try the flow yourself. No signup needed.
A little miracle is on the way! Here's how it works: pick the date you think baby will arrive, write a wish, and send a gift (any amount, $20 and up). The closest guess wins bragging rights. All gifts go straight to the parents.
Sending so much love from across the ocean! Wishing you an easy delivery and lots of joy in the wait. I’m so glad I got to be part of this baby shower — what a beautiful idea. Counting down with you.

What becomes possible when family can join from anywhere.

Loved ones far away still show up — not just with an emoji.

A due-date guess becomes real support for your baby.

Friends, grandparents, coworkers — one link is enough.

Wishes stay forever. Another onesie doesn't have to.
First Step is a modern baby shower experience with a twist — a gamified calendar where friends and family guess the baby's birthday, leave wishes, and send gifts. You create a calendar for the last month of pregnancy, share a unique link, and loved ones can join the celebration from anywhere.
There's a one-time fee to create a calendar. We don't take a cut of your gifts — payment processing fees are handled by providers like PayPal.
Yes! Guests can leave a wish or message when selecting their date. Messages are sent to the recipient by email and shown on the calendar.
Yes! Once you announce the birth date, everyone who participated will receive a celebration email with the news.
When my closest friend was pregnant, I was in another country and couldn't celebrate with her.
Sending a random gift didn't feel right.
So I thought — there should be a simple way for friends to join, celebrate, and support from anywhere.
That's how First Step started.

We live abroad and can't always be there in person. First Step helped our extended family in the US contribute to our baby's future from afar.

It wasn't about the money, but the messages and intentions behind it. We received $350, but more importantly, a lasting memory from each loved one.

Instead of baby clothes we didn't need, our community gifted us over $1,200. First Step made it feel meaningful and easy.
